I wanted to take a new route in my creation to express the struggles one has when trying to find who they are in this world. When dreams often don't come true. Each person finds themselves looking into the mirror wondering if they could have done better in life or better within themselves. This Image is spawned from a "self-portrait" Tethered to the world hoping to be free with the grace of God. The wings are heavy like the mountains as they slowly fall away. The tree before him is the tree of knowledge, as it is the only thing he can rely on at the moment to sustain what is currently alive. He rests on a set of mountains beneath him while there is greater power he has yet to achieve in the distance. A king by right, who must one day give up his kingdom to become closer to the divine.
