Artist Statement

Artist D.Will

Born in Saginaw, MI, and raised in Flint, MI until college, I graduated from Alma College, Alma, MI, in 2002 with a degree in art and design, focusing on painting and related media. I continued my education with a Master's in Business and Administration, graduating in 2010, focusing on Marketing and Entrepreneurship. I began freehand drawing when I was six years old, mostly cartoons and still life. I transitioned to painting shortly after, around the age of 10, creating landscapes and indoor scenes.

I started to connect the rhythm of different genres of music, which became the foundation within my art. The focus was to blend the influences of music with color and motion. I integrate these forms to evoke emotion within my work, aiming to inspire the audience to perceive the synergy between music and form, in the hopes that it will elicit a similar response from them.

My work has been displayed in art shows, festivals, and galleries across the country, published in literature and art journals, and featured in the news. With clients from all over the world, my work has found its way into the hearts and minds of countless people.
